It's actually quite original and unique. That being said, it's probably better if you were a fan of the original movie as there are some great throw-back references and footage. And all Cobra Kai has is Kyler and Kenny and they dunked Kyler this season to advance Kenny. They gotta just introduce some bruisers in Cobra Kai so they don't feel so pitiful.
